* Responsible for data mining/business intelligence analysis to generate knowledge/data insight about our customers, vendors, products and operations.
* Interfaces with internal departments and external constituents (vendors, resellers, etc.) to determine analysis needs and translate into functional and technical specifications.
* Participates/deploys knowledge to external constituents.
* Responsible for hiring, salary and performance reviews, discipline, promoting and training of direct reports.
* Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of direct reports.
* Accountable for budget management responsibilities.

Requirements:
Education: BA degree with emphasis on quantitative analysis (i.e. statistics, econometrics, mathematical modeling, data mining, computer sciences, marketing) required or 4 years related external experience OR 2 years related Ingram Micro experience. MS/PHD/MBA preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years experience in analysis of large data sets, focused on mathematical modeling, statistical modeling or data mining;
- Expertise in major data mining platforms and applications (i.e. IBM Intelligent Miner, SAS Enterprise Miner);
- Experience using major statistical analysis packages (i.e. SPSS, SAS Stats);
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases and database management (i.e. DB2, MS SQL Server);
- Extensive knowledge of commonly used marketing principles and techniques; and
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Access, SQL.

Skills:
- Working with data in a highly analytic environment;
- Working with data in a cross platform environment;
- Excellent computer application skills and an expert in MS Excel, Access, and SQL; and
- Movement and manipulation of data in a server environment.

Ability to:
Work in a cross functional environment, experiment in new areas of knowledge management, communicate effectively, drive analysis projects to completion under deadlines, and understand the appropriate use of data.
Occasional travel required.
