Associate Content Developer

Conker Media is a digital production company, working with a range of partners including Channel 4 and the BBC.

Based in Liverpool, the company creates digital content for multiple platforms; including television, online, broadband Internet and mobile.

We are part of the Lime Pictures group, producers of Hollyoaks for Channel 4.

Current Conker Media projects include the Hollyoaks digital project with Channel 4; the 4Laughs digital project (also with Channel 4); and, a creative partnership with BBC Switch to develop new narrative formats for teens (particularly contemporary drama, comedy and music).

These newly created roles within the Conker Media team, provide a unique opportunity for pro-active individuals and recent graduates with the right skills, to work within a leading digital media environment; offering scope to move on to other innovative projects and work across emerging platforms.

All of the roles are based in Liverpool with an immediate start.

Associate Content Developer

Working with the Content Developer, this is an entry level opportunity for someone with the right skills to play a vital role in updating web-based content for delivery across platforms.

The Associate Content Developer will have an understanding of how to translate designs into standards compliant websites using html, xhtml and css. A key role will be managing and updating content for the Channel 4 websites using their content management system; for which training will be provided.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of, and a demonstrable interest in digital “new media” and social networks. Part of your role will be to work with design team to brand and create skins for social networks such as youtube.com and myspace.com.

We are looking for someone with an awareness of current trends in new media and web technologies. This role would suit a web developer at entry level. A knowledge of xml and jsp or any programming language would be useful though not essential.
