This is the first project management hire within Digg so you will have the opportunity to help define the evolution of this function within the company. <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />- Collaborate with Digg's Product Management, Development, and Design teams to scope projects, develop resource estimates, and coordinate resource availability. <br />- Serve as Scrum Master on project Sprints, ensuring that teams are aware of key deliverables and progress is tracked accurately and transparently. <br />- Manage team resource calendars. <br />- Monitor, evaluate and communicate project risks, issues, scope, and timeline and provide guidance accordingly to team members. <br />- Ensure project execution occurs successfully during defined timelines. <br />- Coordinate issue resolution with individual task owners during project implementation phase, as needed. <br />- Present routine reviews of high-level projects in progress to senior management. <br />- Lead post-mortems of recently launched projects to surface strengths and areas for improvement. <br />- Collaborate with senior management to apply lessons from past projects so as to continually improve our product development processes. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />- Must be very detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. <br />- Ability to work cross-functionality, to proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, and to foster open communication amongst team members. <br />- Proven experience with Scrum or other Agile product development methodologies, as well as with project management software and tools. <br />- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and to work independently whenever necessary. <br />- Experience working with engineering teams and understanding how technical implications impact project complexity. <br />- Personable, with good negotiation and dispute resolution skills. <br />- Knowledge of best practices within the industry and the techniques that have been successfully used at other companies. <br />- Bachelor or CS degree required. <br /></p> http://jobs.cmswire.com/job/600/ Mon, 28 Jul 2008 22:24:19 GMT
